Amber Sound - Stand E20

http://www.ambersound.co.uk/

2016 has been a key year for Amber Sound so far with Managing Director Graham Paddon taking a back seat and leaving the day to day running of the company to the next generation.

At ABTT this year Amber Sound is going back to point source, showing off a range of Meyer Sound loudspeakers that cover any scenario, large or small. Another loudspeaker brand that the company supplies as UK distributor is One Systems, which are all IP rated direct-weather speakers.

Also on show are RTS and Clear-Com intercom systems which Amber Sound supplies to many of the UK’s rental companies, installers and theatres with high level support. Wireless comms are at the forefront with RTS Radiocom used by theatres up and down the country and Clear-Com recently launching the new FSII-BASE 2 to compliment the successful FreeSpeak II DECT system.

Amber Sound also stocks many Countryman mics and will have lavalier and headset mics on display, both being used in many West End shows. Another favourite from Fischer Amps are the rack mount chargers, which can take 9V or AA and AAA batteries, removing the need for non-rechargeable batteries while also being environmentally friendly. The new In Ear Stick from Fischer will also have its first UK showing at ABTT.

K&M stands and accessories have been available from Amber Sound since its formation in 2005 and with years of experience and high stock, you will be well looked after by the sales team if you need help with the hundreds of part numbers and thousands of spare parts available!

Presentation Design Services - Stand B22

Drapemakers have been manufacturing drapes for the theatre and events industries for over a decade, but have never chosen to generate any real publicity. The ABTT 2015 show has been selected as the launch pad to give the company more visibility in the industry.

Operating from their base in Derby as a subsidiary of successful live events company, Presentation Design Services Ltd., Drapemakers does exactly what it says on the tin; custom made drapes that meet budget, specification and delivery requirements, wrapped up with a fantastic service and a constant willingness to always meet a deadline. However short or ridiculous it might seem.

Great established relationships with significant industry clients have seen Drapemakers manufacturing for West End Musicals, UK and European touring shows such as Dirty Dancing and The Bodyguard, delivering bespoke show drapes to regional producing theatres including Birmingham Rep and Nottingham Playhouse, creating and fitting theatre drapes on board cruise ships in the Caribbean, Singapore and Australia, and supplying venue drapes to receiving houses such as the Arena in Derby and the Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh.

The Drapemakers stand at the ABTT show will feature seamstresses in action at their sewing machines and if you place an order quick, they could be manufacturing your next drapes requirement right in front of you.

Production Resource Group - Stand C22

Website: http://www.prg.com/uk

Production Resource Group are a solution-based supplier of lighting, video and rigging technology to the live events industry.

As a leading provider of technology products to West End, Broadway and touring theatrical productions, PRG are proud to have supported numerous spectacular shows, including Lion King, Wicked, Jersey Boys, Cats, Thriller, Mamma Mia, Memphis and Beautiful. Smaller scale projects are also very close to the heart of PRG, we regularly supply event technology to theatrical venues across the country.

As well as holding an extensive stock of products from the major brands, PRG design and manufacture industry leading products such as the Bad Boy and Best Boy family of moving lights, the Mbox media server and the Vx76 range of lighting control consoles. Our proprietary products have been developed following discussions with event professionals, including key lighting designers, who specified which features were most necessary to them, but were absent from other products on the market.

Theatre is a core market for PRG in the UK, but we are equally as involved with the concert touring, corporate and television sectors; as such, our intrepid team of product specialists can offer support from a variety of different viewpoints.

We are on stand B22 at this year’s ABTT exhibition, stop by for a chat and to get an intimate look at our proprietary products.

Race Furniture - Stand A73

Race Furniture will be showcasing their unique folding theatre chair that has been used extensively in the recently refurbished Dorfman Theatre at London’s National Theatre. Through a detailed design and development programme Race has engineered a comfortable and supportive pair of chairs that fold down smoothly and efficiently in a robust steel box that can be used as stage flooring.

Seventy of these boxes make up the stalls seating area and within a 15  minute period these boxes can be fixed in an upright position or conversely can be folded from their upright position in order to create a complete flat stage floor. An example of a functioning two seat box can be seen and demonstrated on Race’s stand.

Race will also be showing a variety of seat heights of its ever popular Stanway high density stacking and linking chair with seat heights at 450, 600 & 750mm. With the use of the Stanway mobile trolley a total of 30 chairs can be stacked. Numerous projects have found that the Stanway chair satisfactorily combines seating comfort and support with a high number of stacked chairs.

Continuing with the theme of presenting innovative products visitors can also try out the JumpSeat now promoted by Race Furniture and is available as floor-fixed, floor-mounted or wall-mounted chair that purports to be one of most compact chairs on the market measuring less than 130mm with the seat in an upright position. The award winning JumpSeat is well suited to spaces that require flexible and compact seating having a ‘flex spring seat’ that cantilevers without hinges.

We look forward to welcoming you to our stand.
